The Institute of Vocational Studies is a minority institute aiming to provide higher education to weaker sections of society. The vision of the college is “Excellence in higher education empowering through knowledge, inclusive growth for socio-economic change and sustainable development.” The college has been relentlessly pursuing the aims and objectives set out in its vision.

Being a premier institute in teacher education, the college organizes ample opportunities for students to hone their skills so that they can evolve as competent teachers and fit into contemporary educational organizations. At the commencement of the session, meticulous planning is done by the well-established Placement Committee, which is reconstituted annually.

It consists of one convener, two faculty members, and a few student members who proactively work for maximum placement of the students. The institute has a placement policy that is uploaded on the website. The placement and recruitment policy is intended to provide every student-teacher with an equal opportunity to secure the best job offer.
